Free Children’s Art Event
I am organizing the community window project at the TI Arts Gallery in downtown Ticonderoga NY. Called “A Trip Through Art”. We already have confirmation from Ticonderoga Central School, Crown Point Central School, and St. Mary’s. But would like to extend our reach to any, home, and private schooled 9th to 12th graders.
The project will fill the windows of the gallery starting April first and hang through September. We- Michelle Vara (Ballard Road Art Gallery in Wilton NY) & Vicki Stewart will supply small 3.5″ clear Globes for 9th-12 graders to create with for free.
The participants will create small environments (nothing Alive like plants or fish, because the windows get too hot and the responsibility to maintain is too large, but anything artificial is ok.)
The participants may choose, any subject, all material – No limit -No Restraint of their Imagination! The Finished pieces Must be ready to hang by February 18th, 2022. The globes have a number on them and Must be accompanied with a piece of paper which states the number, students name, school which they attend, and if they choose to write something/ poem/ description/ story/ anything- Short, about or to coincide with their piece. We will be organizing this information for gallery visitors to enjoy.
For more information and coordinate getting globe, feel free to contact Michelle at 518-587-8706.
